When sites refuse to comply with DMCA laws, and you’ve tried countless times to request they remove content to no avail, there are other options available. Even paying a service like Rulta or Bruqi will not guarantee removal, especially sites with CAPTCHA and other bot-blocking tools.
Google’s Spam Reports
First, make sure they actually qualify as spam. Most of the sites 100% fall into this category. If you use this to file a complaint, just like the DMCA form: DO NOT USE YOUR LEGAL NAME OR INFO.
| What you’re reporting | Best Google route |
|---|---|
| A leak/mirror/spam page ranking in Google Search | Google Search spam / quality issue report |
| A fake antivirus “Safe Download” ad or redirect | Google Ads ad violation report, if it’s served by Google ads |
| A landing page distributing malware/unwanted software | Google Safe Browsing malware/badware report |
| A page impersonating another website or login page to steal info | Google Safe Browsing phishing report |
Ad Networks
No one likes spending money on things when they don’t need to, and no one enjoys being manipulated out of money.
This includes advertisers.
You will have to do a little digging on your own to get this information. IF, for whatever reason you are on a website that has obnoxious re-directs when you right click or hit the back button, then you have every right to report them to the ad network as well as Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo, – really whatever search engine you’re using that brings you to their website. This one is a little more advanced since these sites use annoying pagination masking mechanisms and you won’t find the info directly in their source code.
